Don't be surprised if that crappy tradition ends this year if Daicos joins the club.

It certainly is a crappy tradition. Number 35 is meant to be revered at Collingwood and now its worn in the VFL by pimply kids.

He' a big boy though, not some puny 18 yr old with skeletal legs. You'd think he might have made just a bit more of an impression at VFL level.

Would have been nice to see him build momentum through the 2016 season. Sadly, injuries denied him that opportunity.

I haven't had a view on the tradition, but when you put it that way...

Maybe, however his tank may not be at the standard either.
Just because you're big doesn't mean you know how to use that frame.

The tradition is honoring one of our great Clubmen, the tradition albeit a short one comes with good sentiment but I would prefer it goes to the son of a Club legend if his kid deserves it and even wants it.

Best wog on the list!! I'd be happy if Fasolo has kept it (to hand over next year to Daics jnr of course)

It was flawed from the start because it was really to honour Presty's decision to put team first and declare himself unfit for the Grand Final, then it's like they realized the marvel also wore 35 so it became a way of honouring both of them and just got messy

Unless at the Holden Centre they hang a whole lot of footy jumpers with 35 and the name of the draftee on the back, it is a bit of an empty tradition.

I think they knew a Daicos boy is on his way and just invented the gesture so no player gets to keep the 35 until one of them get drafted.
If Josh gets drafted next year, he will be keeping 35.

That's assuming he wants it.
May want to carve out his own career in his owner Favourite number?

Makes sense for him to keep it since it was effectively retired for this yearo_O

gee just give the kid in sier some time, this year was always going a transition year.
l think if he stays injury free next year, by half way though the season we will start
to see why he was taken so high.
