Some players play to a certain level be it AFL or VFL. Toovey played at the same level in VFL and then AFL. Maynard looks like another who plays at the same level whatever the football code. Moore was different. He was injured and returning to VFL to get fit. Some players look too good at VFL level, but can't make the adjustment in pace and movement of the ball that you get in AFL. Sier is different again because he played mostly school footy before being recruited and then was mostly injured this season and had limited exposure to VFL. Now he's training in the rehabilitation group, so it's almost impossible to predict how he's going to go next year.I didn't rate either Moore's or Maynard's VFL form as being worthy of a senior debut. Wouldn't say they struggled but certainly weren't starring. Think they'll both be okay. They'd be the most recent ones.
