Can we rise up and next gain some respect and shake (shape?) the 8.

My base aim this year was to win 8 games, we won 9 so I think we can be "reasonably" saisfied that this year was one of going in the right direction.

I think next year, 9 wins out of 11 games at home is attainable. With the group being more experienced, 2-3 wins away is also within reach.

That would give 11-12 wins, which I think is really the base target we should be aiming for. The team is starting to "group" nicely, so if we are going to get some respect, the time is ripe.

Closer to the season, I'll give my thoughts on who may or could step up, and where the improvement is going to come from.

If we get 10 wins, I will be satisfied. If we get 11 wins, I'll be happy. If we get 12 or more, I will be extremely happy.

I think if everything goes right we can finish about 7th, which would be a great result for our club. If we start losing our key players through injury, well then we will have to wait another year to make the finals.

I think Freo will finish 9th or 10th and just miss out on a spot in the finals next year. The year after that they will finally break through and make their first finals appearance after finishing 6th. They will win their first final at home, then lose the next one that is played in Melbourne. Just my prediction, whether it comes true or not is anyone's guess.
