Podcast Brendon Ah Chee interview

We will be interviewing Brendon for the podcast soon and would like to open it up to the forum for some questions to ask Brendon.

Fire away people.

Brendon was drafted as a long-term development type player, as such what areas of his game does he think he has the most room for improvement and what areas has he improved the most on since being drafted?

What have Ken and the other coaches said they'd like to see from him for the remainder of the season?

Do Magpie listed players and Power listed players socialise with each other outside of the football club?

More of a general point for him to talk about: What is the situation like with being a player in the reserves waiting for an AFL call up? In particular things like relationships between players cemented in the Power 22, guys like Wines and Wingard who walk straight into the Power side, how Ken and the club manage these guys mentally to keep them primed for a call up to the Power.

Are you related to the Ah Chee family in the NT - which extends to the Ah Mat, Rioli, Long and Wanganeen families.

As a young kid, who were your idols (both footy and non footy)

Outside of football, what would be the one sporting dream you could be apart of (ie. nba championship, world cup, olympic gold)

What have the coaches told him about getting another contract. How frank are they on their futures at the club?

Brendans form has dramatically risen over the last 2-3 rounds, is he training differently and how has his role in the Magpies changed?

Love this question.

How's the body feeling? do you think you're starting to get over the set backs and future problems? are you getting a bit of confidence in the body? and in the role at the magpies?

is there any one at the club you're working hard with be it coach or player?

Multiple choice question:

Where does Brendon think he'll be on Saturday, 27 September 2014 ... and where would he prefer to be ?

a) Running out on the MCG for his first AFL match ?

b) Preparing for his first SANFL Grand Final with the Magpies ?

c) In Hong Kong with Russell Ebert and the gang for the Auskick Coaching Clinic, being a guest player in the international match on the Main Pitch of the Hong Kong Football Club between China and Hong Kong & Macau, followed by the Grand Final Lunch in the Sports Hall at which he'll be afforded celebrity status ?

What are the main differences you've noticed between McGregor's coaching style as opposed to Hocking's? What has Hocking brought to the club this year to help the on-field performances?

Power supporters like myself would dearly love to see AhChee running out in Power colours this year or next.

Question: Brendan, when is your goal to break into the starting 22? what do you need to achieve to give yourself the best chance of selection?

How do you feel your game has developed since joining Port?
Who are you close to at the club? (player and/or coach)
Favourite team you supported whilst growing up?
What is your number one focus at the moment?
