Enhanced his reputation in my eyes today.

Broke lines, took the game on and was relentless in his pursuit of covering distance with his leg speed.

Didn't have many teammates that #daredtodream today, but I thought Brett Deledio was absolutely excellent.

What a valued player he is, I'm so happy he's played a few finals with us and hopefully next year a winning one. He's taken his game to another level these last 9 weeks, his run and carry, his polish, the way in which he makes something out of nothing, well done to Brett.

A smokey for the JDM. Would have helped if he wasn't injured at the start of the year.

His last 9 weeks have been some of the best footy I have seen anyone ever play. Sure he wasn't picking up huge number but he made every disposal count and hit the scoreboard while also coming up in crucial moments. If he plays like this next year he will be a strong chance for the brownlow, provided the team is in good form.

Deserves more recognition.

Yep. He realised Port targeted Ellis as the player to shutdown to restrict the Tigers run, so assumed the role and led by example and took the game on. Those saying he doesn't stand up in big games needs to STFU.

Has been our best player in both finals.

Can't be true. I've read on here that he never delivers in big games.... never has never will.... should have traded etc etc etc....

He's our classiest player and most important by a stretch in my eyes..... Only JR, Cotch and Dusty could enter that discussion....

Hes avergaed 26 disposals in the last 10 weeks and nearly 1.5 goals a game. Those are some huge numbers.

He had a good start to the season, took a while to get back to his best after the achilles then came home on fire, some of his best games for the club playing a vital role up forward.

Really pleased to see this thread, great OP, will be even better next season.

Brettles makes a lot of us proud to be Richmond supporters.

Nope... that nickname better not catch on.

Was amazing yesterday, think he finished with the highest DT points as well?

Funny that some people are calling him a chipscab/downhill skier - if anything, was one of the very few to walk away from the game with a reason to hold his head up. Absolute champion, deserves to win a final or two!

So much this, except for a certain guy named Ablett not one other player in the game is able to shake a tag every week or play for 30+ possesions and be the game changer, Lids is right up there with the comps other top players in most positions on the ground. Awesome player and proud to have him in the yellow and black, hope he can get 300+ games for us.

Just remembered, didn't he go off early in the game under the blood rule (no luck there with Morro and Foley also copping whacks). Can't accuse the guy of being soft, came back out and played some quality stuff!

Lids is our most important player and proved it again with another excellent performance when everyone around him was crumbling.. Some posters here have talked about trading him! I bet they are smoking some cheap shit or living in a delusional world

I have never understood why Brett Deledio does not get the recognition he deserves as being one of the best in the comp, let alone the tiges. Plus he seems to genuinely love the club.
He is ridiculously classy, fast, agile, with a great kick and good hands and always seems to have time and make good decisions.

There's always been heaps of talk about the draft and Lids going #1 but I wouldn't change that decision at all. Legend.
