I like players showing a bit of flair after a wicket, Shoaib Akhtar running around doing his impersonation of an aeroplane and all that sort of stuff. It's good for cricket.

It mildly irritates me, but I guess there are more important things to worry about than one player carrying on like a ****er every time he gets a wicket.

I don't mind him celebrating a wicket, but I do cringe a bit when he either:

a) Runs down the wicket without bothering to appeal to the umpire

or

b) does that celebration where he appears to be punching someone in the face while they are lying on the ground. Either that or his lawnmower doesn't start first time.

As long as he keeps taking wickets and winning matches for Australia he can do what he likes so far as I'm concerned.
I love fast bowlers with fire and passion.

I think wicket taking for bowlers might head down similar lines of goal scoring in soccer with players and teams trying to come up with unique celebrations.

Personally I don't mind it and it adds a bit of fun to the game. I don't like it though when Lee, or any bowler, appeals running down the wicket without looking back at the umpire. Bowlers should always respect the umpire by turning back and asking him 1st before carrying on.

Cheers

Brett Lee is a goose and the sooner that boring Buchanan gets this sort of behaviour out of his game the better. I am all for celebrations but really does he have to do the same thing everytime? Variety Brett is the spice of life.

Leave him alone

yeah i agree with you.
he helps australia by getting wickets, and people can do nothing but criticise him by how he acts.
it's not like there's a law against acting like a complete idiot when you get a wicket.
if he wants to do it, good on him :D

Hey who cares what he acts like, as long as hes still taking wickets, isnt that the main thing.
He just likes trying to start his lawn mower.lol.:D :D :D

He doesn't chuck either. Murali and Shoaib might but Lee definitely doesn't.

Wrong. Lee DOES chuck - particularly when he's trying for extra pace. I would place him on a par with Shoaib.

yes i know the difference.
it's clearly demonstrated in the difference between McGrath's and Lee's actions.
Lee doesn't throw every delivery, just a large percentage of the balls he's striving for extra pace on.

I'm not going to get into who chucks and who doesn't but I want to know what the f**k he is doing trying to start an imaginary lawn mower in the middle of the pitch for.

Well that's what my mate reckons who I was watching the game with last night and he's pretty right.

Bring back the little dancies he and Dizzy did in the Boxing Day test when they took wickets.
yeah they were funny!

seriously, before the game he must sit in the rooms thinking what he can do when he gets a wicket. either way, whatever he does its sure a crack up! :p

If I had taken such a crucial wicket as Atapattu's, let alone a yorker at 160 km, my reaction wouldn't differ far from Lee's.

Get off your high horses people, this is one-day cricket on its greatest stage, and some people like Brett Lee have passion for representing Australia with distinction.
