What is everyone's thoughts on Brett this season?
He played some games last year when he wasn't quite ready. He was my tip to be the big improver this year but injury has set him back a little bit. I see him taking over from Knights in 2-3 years

Wouldn't be surprised if he was delisted. Can't find his own ball and slow.

Been in the system for a year after being picked up in the Pre-Season draft and has played 8 games. Played more games than Elton and Arnot who were both taken in the National draft.

19 year old kid (about to turn 20), currently the least of our worries.

If he gets delisted before a few others do I give up. Showed in his first year that he can play at this level but has unfortunately been injured this year. May sneak a late appearance if he can string some consistent games together. Would be great for him to have a big summer and come in next year ready to go. Could be that mid sized lead up HF that we need to give us a link up between the backs and forwards.

High class character, high class skill level and one of our most balanced and pleasing on the eye footballers. No, not in terms of looks but style. His kicking technique is flawless and although not blessed with pace, when he runs he glides over the turf.

A guy who is in his second year and people want to turf? Amazing.

He needs to improve in a couple of areas but he has a lot to work with. The development of him will be interesting and he could be a Nick Dal Santo type for us. He impacts the scoreboard too so he becomes a vital need.

After an injury interrupted year, let him play the full year at Coburg, then hopefully he is fit for the whole pre season and gains can be made. I think he along with Helbig are two guys some don't rate but will end up very good players for us. Just need time and luck not being injured.

Getting the football is the only problem.

Which was my point. No good having good skills if you can't get it. I don't want him delisted, but I can see us getting someone better in this year's draft.

Never noticed his inability to find the ball. Started sub most games last year and I liked what he did, and has had some very good games at coburg, looks like he could become a goal kicking midfielder in the future.
One of a handful of players that have come in straight away that I feel comfortable and safe when he has the ball. Very smart footballer, I like him.

Hardly touched it when he played as sub. Have watched him play about 90-95% of his games for Richmond/Coburg and apart from a couple of games has struggled to get his hands on it. Personally, would be happy if we kept him on for a year, but think we can get better in this year's draft.

I liked his debut game. 9 touches in a quarter, however, those were junk time disposals. In other games he hardly made an impact as the sub.
I like him, no doubt about it. But if he can't get the ball and doesn't do much off the ball I can't see him getting any senior action. If Knights can make help him reach his full potential and advise him on where to run he'd be a real good replacement and a real weapon. Only downside would be that Knights wouldn't be to happy about giving up his spot :P

Typical HFF with a nice kick, glides over the ground and a deft touch. A bit slow, and lax; and not a noted hard ball winner and tackler (which is becoming a theme to make our 22).
Give him time and he might make something of himself, has the tools definitely.

Name them. Unless you're counting delisting rookies and rookie listing him, I'd imagine it's pretty hard to find 7-8 blokes to go before he does.

Right now:
Derickx (delist) Tuck (retire) Newman (retire) Griffiths (delist current form) Nahas (delist/trade current form) Stephenson (retire, elevated, it counts) Helbig (delist, if he doesn't stop getting injured)

Derickx (delist) Tuck (retire) Newman (retire) has a new contract, Griffiths (delist current form) Nahas (delist/trade current form) Stephenson (retire, elevated, it counts)no it doesn't, Helbig (delist, if he doesn't stop getting injured)
I'd add Arnot, still not 7-8 blokes.

I count 6 including Arnot. but im no doctor.

And I provided 7 based on my own opinion, 8 if you want to include Arnot (which I don't because I would rather see how players perform at AFL before getting rid of them).

I honestly have no idea what point you're trying to make here. Or are you being deliberately argumentative?

Nor me you. you named a group of players, one of which is a rookie and was specifically excluded from the original proposition as well as Newman who just signed a contract last week. That is 6 players. Not the 7-8 that were theorized to be de-listed ahead of Brett.

What's your point? That there are some players worse than O'hanlon on our list? Well I think that would be obvious, that 7-8 would be de-listed ahead of him, possibly. You only provided 6 so I can't understand what your trying to say.

This has to be the dumbest conversation I've had this year.
