Brett Ratten and his match commiittee need to have a good look at themselves. Second time Ratten has been totally out coached feel right into Paul Ross trap, it was obvious there was no plan B just like last week against Essendon. Why did we constantly try and kick wide, what happened to the quick ball movement through the centre we had in the first two games?? I know sydney were pushing us wide but where was our run we are supposed to have this super midfield.

The skill level was pathetic, our kicking on goals were rubbish, should of had a 4-5 goal lead at half time.

Stevens was a discrace, he is totally unaccountable.

We are not going to make finals this year because we are carrying too many unaccountable weak soft gutless players and it is a joke to say this team will make a GF in the next 5 years.

Stevens, simpson, murphy and houlihan are totally unaccountable. They have to have a great game to break even because there direct oponents have a field day. Even Judd fell into this group today Mcveigh kicked 3 on him.

Our accountable players, Hadley, Russell and Grigg are not good enough and B grade at best. The reason russell keeps getting a run is because there are no other accountable players that can shut players down to replace him. How are we supposed to beat quality sides when we have no one that can do a proper shutdown job. Gibbs is the only player we have that can do this role but then we lose his output.

Cloke - Is no where near good enough to play in the ruck or as a forward why is he in the team???

Wiggins - Tries harder than anyone but is not and never will be skillful enough for AFL.

Robinson, Joseph and Jacobs are out of there depth but you can't blame them.

Ease up cowboy, we're 2 and 2 could be worse, yes it;s disappointing and we had scoring chances, but Sydney in Sydney was always going to be tough. We'll be okay, just chill.

Can anyone tell me why we are so shit scared of going down the middle???

We always go way wide on the flanks and for two weeks in a row now we've been exposed badly. Essendon because they went straight down the corridor and pulled our pants down and Sydney because SCG is so small and going wide gives them ample time to get back into the forward.

Straight down the middle FFS!

The clock is ticking for Ratten.

I agree, Ratten made no moves when we had the chance to win the game early in the last quarter...

No gameplan B when things dont go right...

Sorry Ratts, bad coaching effort today, Roos killed you!

It was the Houlihan of old today.................but he was good in the first 3 games...............he should escape criticism this week

Stevens shouldn't escape criticism

Fev shouldn't escape criticism

Hadley has been down for 2 weeks

Jacobs has to be replaced by Hampson............has to be replaced

Johnson is no good under pressure.............Scotland is clearly a better option now

If Wiggins goes.............Fisher must return

Joseph needs a rest

Grigg needs to believe in himself and allowed to run free

Ratten is the one who is struggling

Contradictory match committee selections, no alternate game plan, coaching for his own skin now

I don't really blame Ratten for the shit kicking at goal and disposal by the players today, however I am concerned why he continues to play players who are downhill skiers and are clearly out of form, IE kade Simpson, Russell, and Chris Johnson, and not reward someone like Carlos, who has worked his arse off in the VFL, but not getting anyway rewards for his efforts ...

Having said that, if we don't play finals this year, Ratten should be sacked IMHO, and we should consider Mark Williams or John Worsfold as replacements (both premiership coaches on the outer at their clubs it seems)

Why cant we handball and break the lines like Geelong do? We insist with short chip kicks into the pocket instead of running the ball through the corridor like Geelong.

Absolutely right - lacking strategic foresight.....very disappointed in his efforts more than any of the players

Hate to say it but Ratten was totally outcoached today....
Very few long kicks to our forwards one on one as we did not move the ball quickly enough and sydney had time to stack their bacline.
Too slow when taking marks and looking down field rather or all this criss cross kicking caused us problems today.
We did not change our style of play all day !!!!

Because we fell for the Swans gameplan and cant play tempo football yet...Skills arent good enough yet to chip it around...

No forward options today, Cloke isnt good enough and Fev needs to rest his heel.

For God's sake.

WE ARE 2-2!

Get that through your heads! Before last weekend he was doing a brilliant job. Now after two losses he's able to be crusified?

You've got to understand that there's not much that you can do against Sydney and Paul Roos. You rotate players and they expose you for it. You leave a gap and they will move through it. If you don't stick to your man you will be punished.

It was a verticle battle for us today. We could have won but as soon as the game settled into itself, we were always going to lose.

We allowed Sydney to play their game against us, and despite my beliefs that Sydney's tactics are a disgrace, that's football.

I disagree with some of your comments about the players but Ratten was PATHETIC today
*one dimensional forward line
*kept taking off 2 players at once every 3 minutes and we lost contests as a result because we had no-one around the ball
*Sydney flooded and we had no plan B
*too much chipping around - you don't win games at the SCG chipping around. Need to drive forward
*that stupid hold the ball in air and chip around was used at the wrong times

Because we fell for the Swans gameplan and cant play tempo football yet...Skills arent good enough yet to chip it around...

Because against Sydney, all the players pack the corridors and don't allow this.

Ratten clearly has shown to be outcoached IMHO by coaches with 'inferior' lists IE Matthew Knights, and Paul Roos etc, (not just this year either) and that has to be a concern

I argee this is the only move we can make but this will leave us worse off because fish is soft (like 90% or our team)

Get lost *** your team isn't any good either. Your team is in a worst position than us once Fletcher, Lyold and Lucas retire you will be cellar dwellers for just as long as we were.
I disagree, our youngsters are looking quite super imo.

And quit with the "essendon are shit" lines, i mean, we beat carlton, surely we're in the same place you are.

Why mate. He makes more sense than your idiotic knee-jerk rant.
I cant really tell sarcasm online, so if it wasnt, Cheers.

You learn when you lose a game, even if it's just by 17pts in Sydney, that they're all no good, they all need to be dropped, traded, delisted etc.... and the coach needs to be sacked. Imagine what Hawthorn could've done with Clarkson early on. It's the mentality we have to learn to live with. Common sense actually doesn't come into it. Always love the knee-jerk reaction. I'm sure many authors look at their posts a few days later and feel like dills. Of course, win next week all is forgiven by the same people, players are guns, coach is a genius etc....

I tipped the Swans as I didn't think our young team would handle Sydney's lock-down game plan up there on their own small dunghill.

It 's the one bright spot on disappointing days hearing dills carry on like over-reactive port chops after a loss.
