Just thought I would throw a hypothetical out there and see what you guys think.

Brian Lake to come to us via pick 34 or the PSD. We then trade Jamar/Rivers to Port for Pick 8.

This Means we could use 1&2 on Scully/Trengrove or Trengove (depending which rubbish newspaper you read) and there is every possibility Butcher could still be available at 8 or Panos would be.

Meesen was starting to string some good games together before getting injured and Martin his solid in the ruck and we would have PJ as a spare.

Thoughts?

People need to stop assuming Meesen will come along, he's played 2 games in 2 years.

Jamar or Rivers won't get us anywhere near pick 8 and Lake won't go through to the PSD.

I say we stay out of trade week, keep picks 1, 2 and 18 and use them on Scully, Trengove and a KPF (Carlisle, Panos, etc).

We would then have every position pretty much covered and then it's just a matter of making sure we turn the potential our list has into something special.

Lake's already set to re-sign with the Bulldogs by the way...

THE Western Bulldogs will go into Friday night's preliminary final virtually assured of having secured the services of their star full-back Brian Lake until the end of 2013.

Although the 27-year-old has refused to entertain an official deal until after the Bulldogs' finals campaign is finished, both parties are comfortable with the club's revised contract offer estimated at $1.8 million over the next four years.

Hypothetically, I could get myself a golden toilet, but that's not going to happen.

...

The ultimate in luxury toilets was showcased at the Extravaganza luxury exhibition held in Moscow - a gold plated toilet. It is priced at a staggering 250,000 Euros. The gold toilet is equipped with an advanced plasma mirror and digital control devices. The decoration material used is gilded marble. The gilded toilet has been fascinatingly christened “Moscow.”

We get Lake for pick 34 only, yet we trade jamar or rivers for pick 8???

Lake would attract a top 10 pick easily, i am confident Lake will sign for the doggies, however if things don't go to plan we have PSD # 1 up our sleeve.

Don't under estimate how much Jamar improved this year he was awesum for us he could sneak in for a top 10 bnf finish not bad from 8 games.

Rivers has finally got his body right, he adds a lot of stability to the defence, is entering the 24-27 age bracket we require so desparately players to be in. He uses the ball well, makes smart decisions, plenty of courage and finally has a bit of karmichael hunt (slang for campaigner) in him and doesnt mind geting stuck into opposition players.

HAHA we lose jamar and/or rivers and gain pick 8 plus Brian Lake jeez why dont we get judd and ablett also while were at it

Lol that is why I stated hypothetical, twas very tongue in cheek. I am actually not a fan of Lake to the Demons. I am a big fan of the Russian and I think he is the best ruckman we have at the moment.

Im actually quite surprised nobody bought the rubbish I served up after several peeps entertained the shaun burgoyne trade :p
