If you want to have a good laugh, then get along and see this Movie. Someone told me that it was a take off of Pride and Prejudice and one of the actors was in both, he plays the lawyer, it really is a funny movie. Like to know what you think when you see it.

I've heard it's really funny Daphe, definitely good for a laugh. BTW, the actor you were talking about I think is Colin Firth, he was in Pride and Prejudice and is in BJD as well. I didn't know it was pisstake on P and P though.......

Down to the character having the name "Darcy" too ;-) Lotsa modern movies doing this sort of thing too, like Clueless etc.

Yeah, it has been out in the cinemas here (London) for a fair while. It is bloody funny.

The pisstake is apparently because in the book, Bridget Jones has a crush on Colin Firth as well as being in love with Darcy/

So for the movie, they got Firth to play him. Or something.

Anyway, I haven't read it or seen the movie, but one of my chick friends is crazy about it and explained it all to me at great length.

It officially opens today and I am off to see it again. Never go to movies more than once, but this one I am off to see for the third time.
