Bright leaves HRT
V8X
The silly season's worst kept secret has been revealed, the V8 Supercar website saying Jason Bright has left the Holden Racing Team to join Paul Weel in what is believed to be a revamped Team Brock. The 'first' official entry list confirms the shuffling of the drivers in lead Holden teams, with Rick Kelly moving into the Kmart team and Todd Kelly believed to be moving into the HRT with Skaife.
It seems TWR will continue to run the HRT and KRT out of its Clayton base, while Team Brock will run out of Kees Weel's Clayton factory a couple of kilometres away from the HRT/TWR complex.
"We are not just doing radiators anymore," Kees Weel said of K&J Thermal business which spawned Paul Weel racing, "so the thing with Jason is really just a commercial agreement with Holden with respect to OE supply. We also supply Ford too, but this deal is with Holden."
Weel said he has owned the Clayton factory for more than 10 years, and that is proximity to the HRT is coincidental.
Aside from the confirmation of car numbers, little else was revealed in the list.
Paul Radisich was only confirmed in the Betta Electrical Falcon today, which leaves only Max Wilson's switch to Shell Helix Racing and the new drivers for Bob Forbes 00 Motorsport (or whatever it is allowed to be called) to be confirmed before the start of the season.
It is beliebed Tony Longhurst and Greg Ritter are in the running for at least one of the two cars, and may both end up at the team.

Surprised to see Rick Kelly join (unoffically) K-Mart, thought he would have taken Bright's car at HRT.
There really isn't alot of surprises there.
