[The Old Dark Navy's]

Well the event has come and gone. I rocked up fashionably late (2 1/2 hours) and met the small band of BigFootyites and others who braved the scorching temperatures and late afternoon thunderstorm which was obviously brought from Melbourne (and Mr Ripper would like to thank everyone for reminding him over and over).

A little bit of chit chat, an opportunity to show off some footy skills (or lack thereof). A few knee injuries later and all was done!

Must say it is a little strange walking into the Lion's Den and meeting people that you have previously only read before. Thanks to Danni who is the only one I had known previously for being the heart and soul of the day. Nice to meet Beausgirl who I had talked to in chat on occasion, Keatings Girl (whom my daughter reckons she wants to live with ), Go the Young Guys and the incomparable Mr Ripper, BigFooty's sage of the ages.

Um .... I didn't have the heart to tell Rip that Roger was still tied to the back bumper when he and Beausgirl drove off this afternoon. But gee, he's a plucky little guy, you should have seen those little legs go!!!
