a very ordinary act. I was surprised there wasn't more of a reaction from swans players. Probably good there wasn't and you boys rolled them.
If we had it right BB would get a week and schulz the fine, as i think one was in the game and certainly not intentional, the other the oppposite. Unfortuantely will be the other way around.
Your midfield really stood up last night , especially Hanneberry, Kennedy and Jack.
Was great to hear very vocal support for Goodsey.

I just hope it doesn't get brushed off and forgotten, better at least get a mention on Monday.

The usually passive-at-everything Longmire acknowledged it in his presser as 'unnecessary', which is really saying something when he thought Luke was 'okay' coming off the BOG Geelong game. Think Horse wants him hanged.

Average thing for Broadbent to do.
But there was a not dissimilar action by Tom Lynch on a clearly injured Dylan Buckley last week, also with trainers coming to Buckley's assistance, and I believe it wasn't even mentioned in the MRP report.

Bloody good to see Jetta 'fly the flag' though.
He's done it a few times over this year so far.
Not sure how effective he is at it, but sometimes it's the actions not the outcome that are important (unlike the MRP).

Bloody ordinary, as bad a thing as you can do on a footy field. Good on Jetta for sticking up for his mate, should've decked him. Not as bad as those stains Michael and Scott bumping Riewoldt after his collarbone had just broke though :mad:

Surely it's something that should be considered a reportable offence? Or at least a fine?

It is a reportable offence. there are several rules he can be reported on;

Rule 19.2.2 (a) (vi) engaging in rough conduct against an opponent which in the circumstances is unreasonable;
(xi) making unreasonable or unnecessary contact with an injured Player;

So there are two bylaws there in which he can be charged with being in breach. The latter is the most specific. His act was one of the most despicable in football.

Happy he did it. Fired up parker and a couple of others for the remainder of the game. We should be thanking Broadbent.

Didn't think it was good.

But then again everyone thought Robinson was a hoot when he faked an injury to speed off his opponent. You got to be consistent and get players to not do that (not that it is a regular thing).

I have no issue with him getting right up close to Parker just in case he does a Robbo (maybe he had that in mind?) but he really shouldn't touch him even if it was just a tap.

Can't get excited over any Goodes equivalence. It is what it is now with Adam.

Sometimes in the heat of the moment, under pressure & stress, a persons true character can come out and be on display. In this instance he's shown he's the kind of floggity weak dog coward that'd push your grandma over & steal her walking frame... There's no excuse for interferring with an injured player. None. Apart from the fact you are a coward and a sad pathetic person with no moral or ethical backbone. So while I'm pissed off he did it, I'm moreso sad for him that he has to live life knowing that he's shown himself to be such a pathetic piece of sh*t.

According to some Power fans on their board there was nothing in it and Broadbent was just vying for a better position for the ball.

Now correct me if my view from behind the goals and in front of me was a little obscure. But wasn't the ball gone?

Was about to be a ruck contest iirc then it went through for a goal. Great positioning imo :p

Can't complain. Did a dick thing. If Parker was seriously hurt, weeks but he wasn't so it's fine. Everyone knows he is a tool now

Hindsight does the not remove the intent to injure, and the severity of the outcome should not be dependent on how lucky Luke was with his injury.

I still think it's an acceptable outcome
