How is it that Brock's good form has gone largely unnoticed??

2 years ago he was the Messiah and now people just look for any excuse to put the boot into him.

Sure, we haven't won a game yet but he's been standing up in nearly every game, and is slowly but surely learning to cope with a tag.

He is in the Top 10 for disposals in the league, as well as for contested possessions. Pretty damn good I would have thought.

He has been impressive but not that dynamic. Would have been a good lesson for him yesterday spending the whole match on Judd.

Has anyone notcied that whenver he doesn't get tagged he racks up the possies but as soon as he does aka Roos match doesn't get above 20

To be fair to him though, he doesn't exactly have that much support.

Take a look at Kerr from West Coast. He had a heavy tag on him on the weekend and without his midfield buddies in Judd and Cousins he only managed 14 possessions.

As soon as some of our other players develop further and lighten the load on McLean, he will be able to average the high numbers every week.

He wasn't that good.

Sure he got plenty of the ball, but his direct opponent had 26 and kicked three goals. Still a long way to go, but its promising to see him getting a bit of the ball again.

Theres no doubt hes one of our better skilled players.

dare say that Judds 26 were more damaging that Mcleans 31 as well

When it rains, it pours.

Judds 26 and 3 goals is better than anyone in the league bar G.Ablett.

Of course they were, Judd is the most damaging mid in the league.

Brock would be leading the B&F right about now. If he had more support he'd be even better.

His work rate is terriffic, he works tirelessly of and on the ball. But because the team is under so much pressure and there is little support he struggles to get really effective possesions. But good on him he is having a real crack is easily my favourite player.

Did anyone see him on before the game... he did the inside 60... and he was hilarious.. funnier than Hughsey by far...

they asked him if he was named after Peter Brock or Macleans toothpaste and he said "I think it would be Peter Brock cause i got caught doing the burn-outs the other day"

Onya Brocky... by the way I reckon he would sledge like a mad man!!!!

He's bounced back from a disapointing 2007 and looks to be once again the shining light in the midfield. We just to ensure we have the right kind of player development in place for Brock, Jonesy and Cale for the years to come so we can have a really strong midfield later on.

yeah he definitely looks like he is enjoying his footy a bit more too which is always important.

Well at least as much as he can enjoy it, considering we are loosing every week.

I'm talking about personal satisfaction and drive, I had noticed we've been getting thumped every week.

No..

True, he just needs help in the middle. If Ablett doesn't play well for geelong, Bartel or Corey will. The midfield need to be more focused on working together rather than trying to be the best player each week. I'd rather solid contributions from all of then than a really good performance and a few shitty ones.
