I think if you look at Brodie's sprint results after the first 5m they are in the higher percentile and that is how he plays. If he is already moving a bit when he gains possession he is quite exhilarting and very hard to catch.
They is why recruiters look at testing speed and endurance but also closely look at and analyse playing speed and endurance.

Conversely, Joel Wilkinson's testing speed is great but it is not going to help him much if he doesn't get the ball or get it in the right places and be heading in the right direction.

Funnily enough, everyone raves about Polec's pace but he is only marginally quicker than Brodie Smith over 5m and Brodie is significantly quicker over the next 15m in the 20m sprints.

I would not be surprised to see Brodie Smith go in the top 10. To whom I am not quite sure.

I think he is the best SA player in the draft when you consider the whole package. Even his personality is like Judd's when he was drafted. Big call I know.

Isnt that the game where Polec had nearly 20 touches to half time ?? Or am i thinking of another final.

Polec at this stage should be valued higher than smith.
Both will be great players but different.
Polec is like didak, always attacking minded.
Smith is more defensive.
Different players, but in terms of who will hurt you more in the afl, polec could destroy you, smith wont.
Thats why polec will go between 4-6, while smith 11-16

That's about right. Polec has the potential to tear a team apart. Even just watching his finals videos he had a lot of shots on goal..he could have had at least 2-3 goals per game if some of those went through.

Polec is the icing on the cake for a midfield.

Smith is the middle layer.
