Who do you think will be better to bring into your supercoach team? Who is likely to play more games? I don't know much about either players. Hopefully this thread will shed a little light for me and other coaches looking to trade in one of these players.

Both will play the remainder of the season barring injury or the respective coaches deciding to 'rest' players.

Grimes is more expensive ($188k vs $83k) and is a bigger injury risk (missed most of 2008 and the start of 2009 due to back related injuries).

Grimes has a higher ceiling and while he won't in most likelihood hold his current average he has a higher ceiling and will score better than Broughton most weeks.

Ultimately it depends on the make up of your team. If you're struggling with cash and injuries Broughton is a safer pick. If you're going great and can afford to splurge go for Grimes.

Grimes will play more games barring injury. And that is the big question. A back injury can flare up at times during the season so he is a risk.

If you want a potential 7th back choose Grimes, if you want to downgrade a bench player go Broughton and pocket the extra 100K......that's a lot of cash:thumbsu:.

I voted Broughton mainly because of the extra cash, which enables an upgrade in the team

Think I may do the same and get both, but if i had to choose one it all depends on if you need one of them to play. Grimes if here's your 7th backmen but if its a downgrade for the cash then Broughton gives you 100k more in the budget.

Depends what you're looking for in the trade. Grimes is a potential keeper for a 7th back, provided he doesn't get injured. However, if you're looking for a steady reserve and some easy cash, go with Broughton.

Hmm, got Broughton.. Playing for Hodge. Could go Hill > Grimes and Petrenko > Burgoyne:cool:

Broughton will give me 800k to get ablett (Hasleby)
Grimes gives me 700k which he may not drop down to because its Ablett :P
Hasleby has a b/e of 90. Dont know if he will go up or down.

So to some it up who would be the best option considering they will be my 7th back till the end barring injury??

Both have had injuries so that's a little hard to pick from. Only thing is Grimes has had back stress fractures or something and can require him to miss a game or 2 as he is young. Broughton only had an ankle problem and came back through the WAFL and played very well.
