This has happened more often than not this week,
Open yahoo (our home page) or big footy, like just now and all the latest posts are @2am last night which was when I was last on.
I have to hit re-fresh to get it to update.
Then opened the "refreshed page" which I see has new posts but again have to refresh it to show new content.

There's numerous GB left in each (partitioned) section of the HD. I've cleared all the interent temp files etc.

Is there anything else I can do to stop this internet laziness?
I probably wont even know if this thread has replies without clicking refresh a few times.

Oddly enough, video & audio no longer play on the AFL website (live game radio, goals of the week etc)

Appreciate any help.

I dont know if you use it but try using a program called CCleaner to check through your entire system. It's a great program.

What browser are you using?

Haven't used Ccleaner.
IE/explorer as browser. Don't like firefox.

Definitely not set on "browse offline" mode as I know that will open a cached/stored version of the page.

Sorry for not getting back sooner... Try downloading CCleaner and doing it's routine analysis of your computer. You'll be amazed at how much it cleans.

In IE click on Tools > Options > Settings (in the Browser History section) > fiddle with the 4 options there. Might be best to select "Every time I visit a webpage"

Did the trick.
For some odd reason it was on "never".

Thanks to all for the help.
