Bruce what's going on

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just getting your thoughts on Bruce Melb have got to be kidding if they offerd Bruce under 300 thousand per year over 3 years. I wonder why he said no it's a joke he should get about 350 thousand a year. I know Melb don't pay all there salary cap but Bruce should be in the top 3 payed players for Melb. Does anybody know roughly what's White, Neitz, Yze is on. Out of the players that are out of contract for us Bruce should be no1 followed closely by Rivers.

Would like to see Bruce @ the Tige's via the PSD

Thoughts.??? :D

would love him, and take him in a snap unless ball decides to leave st kilda, even then i would think twice before overlooking bruce. dont think it will happen though, or ball for that matter.

Love to get him, he is really polished whilst still being hard at the ball, seems to have the legs to play on the ball a lot as well.

Can't see it happening though, surely if Melbourne can't sign him they will trade, they're not in the same position as Port were when they allowed Stevens to walk, they need to get something in return and it would be a quality player or a mix of high 1st round picks + maybe players. His stocks would have risen significantly this year and if does come to a trade, there will be probably 15 teams interested so Melbourne could auction him off to the highest bidder.

Woewodin was under contract though and was traded to ease salary cap pressure. Plus he'd had an ordinary year after winning the brownlow whereas Bruce has just had an outstanding season.

Exactly what jezza said.

Plus we got pick14 for Woewodin by the way.

Bruce will be auctioned off if he decides to leave Melbourne.

So you won't get him for free.

Sad on your behalf but true.

Bruce is out of contract. He can nominate for the preseason draft if he wants to and the Dees get nothing. Richmond could get him for free. Won't happen though because we can't afford him.

Dees can't auction him if he doesn't consent. He has to sign off on any trade. He can refuse to be traded.

I understand what you say although knowing where Bruce has come from I believe he'd do the right thing by the club and not screw us over if he decided to leave as we gave him an opportunity he would have never got - to play AFL football.

Cheers.

why would he want to do the right thing by the club when the club cant do the right thing for him?

if he was in it for the best interest of the club then he wouldnt be asking for an amount the club cant afford.

Pick 14 for a brownlow medallist and a premier ball winner is not practically nothing? I think it is.

I think the Tigers could definately persuade him to go into the PSD with a $380 to $400 thousand dollar offer or just simply offering plenty more than the Demons.

Melbourne were forced into making the deal, they did not have the room to negotiate the deal much whereas now they have plenty of time and suitors. Collingwood definitely did well out of it, but Melbourne will be careful to not be in the same situation again.

As long as collingscum is not the benefactor.
