Say Gibbs averages 100 and Beams averages 75.

Thats only a loss of 25ppg. Say hes out four games, thats only 100 points (assuming those averages). Not worth a trade IMO.

BRENDAN Fevola's heel is slowing improving and Carlton fans can also relax about Bryce Gibbs – he doesn't have a broken thumb.

The Blues' midfielder was seen clutching a thumb during his team's heart-breaking loss to Essendon on Saturday night but Carlton footy manager Steven Icke says the young star has been cleared of a fracture.

"Bryce is fine, we'd expect Bryce to play [against the Swans this week]" Icke told afl.com.au on Monday.

"He sprained his thumb but he'll get it strapped up and play. He's had it x-rayed and there's no break."

OMG, you beauty. Lucky escape.

Who was the person on the radio saying he had surgery? They clearly need to get their facts right.

I guess they heard the news that Gibbs went to get an x-ray and decided to get on the front foot with the possible "story". They're an insult to honest reporters out there.
