I thought Buccy played one of his better games against the Roos.I do have a problem though in the way he plays for frees, ducks his head continually and stays on the ground, seemingly badly hurt, and when the ump ignores him he gets up and starts running away.Sometimes he creates a break in our play when we have a run on.Don't get me wrong,I think he was great against North but I would just like to see him cut the crap to get fees.

The incident against the Roos where he was lying on the ground staging while his opponent got up ultimately led to a Roos goal. I was fuming. I'm sure it will be on his tape this week.

Dont know about best game.
He makes far to many errors by foot, has to be near clanger king for us.
Sure he gets the ball alot and id be interested in how effective he is with his disposal.
I watched him butcher the ball countless times on at ANZ.
Serious trade bait. Early 2nd rounder would do.

Bit harsh IMHO, i think he adds a fair bit to us when he is up and running.

He is a good user of the ball and often breaks free with the ball from packs, keeper IMHO

Very important player, still relatively young. He has an element of class that we would lack form anyone else and is a little nugget.

?????????
Huh!!
You're not serious are you? The 4 games he missed were amonst our softest for the year. We missed his head over the ball. Staging or no staging, at least he puts himself where he WILL get hurt. The incident where he was looked at by the MRP against Brisbane was gutsy in my opinion. He had his eyes on the ball but it was just as courageous an act as the more celebrated players have been.

Roos kept him over Schneider BECAUSE he puts his head over the ball & at least tries to instigate things when the rest of the team isn't travelling well. As he did in the first half. last week.
No! He's staying put!

I am serious about Buchanon. Putting your head over the ball isnt the be all and end all of footy. I agree with you Ted that he gives us something around the stoppages and can take a mark. But my issue with him is that he turns the ball over more often than not or misses a targets that wide open or on a good lead.
I remember seeing him at the G against the Hawks miss 3 or 4 set shots at goal 30/35m out on a slight angle. There were kids having a kicking competition pre game that were getting them from there..
I like how he goes about his footy dont get me wrong, but he needs to sharpen his disposal.
We have an abundance of mid size players coming through, if he can be replaced and has currency i would not be upset if he went.

Buchanan has been a much better contributor since he returned from suspension. He said he was doing a lot of fitness work whilst he was off, and it shows. He is now back into the midfield rotation (played forward a lot this year before suspension), and is a vital cog in getting the ball moving (he is very evasive in packs much like Moore, and if gets caught can regularly draw a free kick).

Happy to have him back into the form we know he is capable of.

I am only unhappy with him because I had money on the Swans to win by over 39.5 points, and his kick for goal after the siren could have won me 60 bucks. Not unhappy enough to want him traded though.

Buchanan is defintely playing better footy than 2007. It's great to see him back from the 4 week suspension. He is firing up for the finals series. He has gathered quite a lot of possession from the last few games he has played and has plenty of the footy, though his disposal and kicking are woeful, you just cringe when you see him dispose of the ball. He overcooks the kicks or handballs over people's heads. And his decision making has been horrible. Handballing it to his team mates who are far more under pressure than he is?

Though, I admire his attacking and running through the corridors. It's a good for the midfield where we clearly lacked after Goodes' groin injury. I miss seeing his immaculate delivery to the forwards (re 2005/2006) where he hits the forwards "squarely on the chest". Like to see more of that please Amon. ;D

Did anyone see his interview on the footy show?

He fumbled and bumbled his way through, umming and ahhing before bursting into laughter and saying "I don't know what I'm talking about". :o

Has a bit of work to do on the media skills.
