The media do not know about this yet, but trust me, it is going to be the biggest story of the year when it gets discovered.

Apparently Buddy is a cyborg. He died last year and the club immediately put his body on ice. They then developed time travel technology, and reverse engineered cybernetics.

The first surgery didn't go too well. But luckily the Hawks still had that time machine, so they just kept going back and trying the surgery over and over until they got it right.

I think they probably could have saved some time (sic) by just using the time-machine to go back and tell him not to step in front of that bus.

I'm glad it worked well.

That was kinda the point. Not a week goes by without some unfounded rumour being spread on this site. And they seem to get more outlandish by the minute.

This year alone we have had Bryce Gibb's plans to move back to Adelaide, Nablett's suicide, Buddy's supposed third strike and Buddy's accident last week which left him with a dislocated hip and broken femur - all supposedly from "inside sources".

Whether you found the OP funny or not (admittedly not my best), it showed that any muppet can log on and make up rubbish.

Further, the story needed to be so outlandish as to show that I wasn't genuinely attempting to spread a rumour (and therefore get carded), yet the first few lines had to look "serious" to get past the preview pane on the Bay 13 front page.
