Buffy: Chaos Bleeds help required

I just got this great Buffy game, and I was hoping someone could help me out.
I am Spike, in the Initiative, and I'm facing Adam. Th on;ly problem is, I can';t seem to hurt him! Punches and kicks don't even seem to connect, and the only way to stop him is to throw the pulse grenade, which stuns him for about 20 seconds.
I'm thinking there is another way to kill him, there has to be a trick to it or something.
If anyone has domne it and knows how to kill him, please., please tell me! Or, maybe you know a good site with some Walkthroughs I could use.

I just looked it up on gamefaqs.com and apparently you have to throw an EMP grenade at Adam while he's holding a barrel above his head, this makes the barrel explode and damage him. Good luck.

I'd have thought you'd need to rip his uranium fission core out, but that's just me.
