Lately I've been interested in learning about the early history of the internet, particularly from the 80's and early 90's with BBS (Bulletin Board Systems).
I was surprise to find out that there is still a very active community that are operating and using BBS.
Telnet is the most popular and host a good number of BBS from all over the world. there is also a device out that lets you dial in to these boards using your own WiFi network no need for any dial up modem! through part of the fun would be to get a hold of one of these old computers from that time period and a dial up modem and connect onto a BBS!
So are BBS's making a return? has the internet gone full circle? or is it just nostalgic fun? Probably just the later.. but I would love to get a hold of my old Amiga 500 and dial in to one of these boards. Did anyone on here use or operate a BBS back then? and on what system? was it popular in Australia? how hard was it to set up and connect?
Love to know your thoughts on the matter or anyone who's used or operated a BBS before. Please comment.
cheers

currently out of stock, but doing some research clones are popping up due to the creator open sourcing it.
