Blind freddy can see how weve improved in the heart dept !! Woosh has done something magicall and transformed our incipid side into one that gives all until the fat lady is well into her second verse!!

Ive aged about 10 years in the last 2 hours

Very positive thing s to be taken from today - BUT our freakin skills need work. If Gardiner could kick properly he'd be the most influential player this season.

Cox also needs to lift and Braun will get better(skills wise)

Heehee - me too Au_Blue - my heart was pumping there and fingernails to the bone in the last few mins....

Our skill level also frustrates the &^# out of me - we gave away a lot of possession because of it. A couple of times in the middle Gardy took the kick when I thought he should have dished it off to someone with better disposal.

At this stage of the season I can accept the skills are down a bit, but if we want to get some more wins on the board we need big improvement in this dept!!

I can see we've improved alot over the Summer! Thanks to Woosha! Yes we've goota fix somethings up..but now we have a platform to work with! With a bit of luck next week will be better!
I cant see the Boys having another bad start...take into account that it was their first game in Melb for the year. They had a big game against the Dockers the week before and they probably dont have their prematch melbourne game routine down pat yet. Benny had a shocker for once in our life...we were without read and Prior, Sierakowski and a few more other good players!
1 point with all this....Imagine where we'll be if all this goes!

You're right carlyp,

Last year we had skill problems and no heart (Judge factor). Now our skills have improved (and still need some work) but will get better as the year rolls on. And today the boys played with hearts and guts and never gave in. (Whoosh factor)

As a supporter thats all I ask for and I am REALLY pleased with the improvement in both skills and attitude so far this year.

I dont think I made it clear what I meant last post - so please remove the grumpy face!!!!!

The guys played with a lot of heart today, and that is great sign and clearly something that Woosh has brought back to the club.

But heart alone isn't going to win you matches. The skill level was absolutely shocking ALL day.

I've also got to question the way Gardiner was used throughout the match.
Rocca absolutely thrashed Cox in that first quarter which meant that the Eagles were playing catch-up all day. Then in the last quarter, when the match was up for the taking, Gardiner wasn't able to have an impact on the match because he wasn't used properly..

Collingwood didn't win today, the Eagles lost.
