Just a quick poll here Crows fans - who will be affected by the bus strike (if it goes ahead) Saturday night?

I read in the paper that AFC are worried around 4000 or so people may not come to the Richmond game - I could well be one of them if the Footy Express Bus Service is not on.

The AFC and PAFC should be really concerned about the strike situation - dont Serco sponser both clubs? If so, I wouldnt be too thrilled with 'em at the moment.

I thought they said earlier in the week than Footy Express will run as it normally does??????

Even if the Footy Express didn't run, I wouldn't be affected as I drive to the game.

It looks like it will be a "Footy Saturday". First off to Unley to watch the Eagles take on the Blues and then to Footy Park so see the mighty Crows trash the Tigers.:D

Spare a thought for the others Stiffy, as the Footy Express is definitely not running.

I always drive to the game too, so like you I won't be affected, other than at this stage I'll be giving a few friends a lift as well as me and the missus.

That is a bloody joke. How can they NOT have Footy Express up an running. What a bunch of idiots.

I just go a bit earlier to my cousin's place and leave the car there. Its only a 5 minute walk to Footy Park. I guess I am one of the lucky ones when it comes to car parking and all that crap.

I still cannot believe that they would be that stupid not to have the Footy Express up and running.

Typical opportunistic w***ers, going on strike at a time to inconvenience as many people as possible. I can't see them garnering a lot of public sympathy with those tactics.

It's because they're striking to get a bigger pay increase. I don't think this will get the public on side for their cause though. :(

Just to clarify, I read that the strike was on footy express buses to the game from the northern and southern suburbs? Is this the extent of the strike? Is this correct?

You're not wrong! They are striking from Friday to Monday. My manager at work has been asking people how they will get to work on Friday and Monday - there are concerns that some people may not come in!

Thankfully I am not in that boat but I may have to miss the footy.

The article did say that, but whether it's limited to that I don't know. I'd be surprised if it was.

Ah okay, because I have some mates who were going to take the footy express bus from the city, and I wouldn't want them to be stranded. I'll make some calls and find out for sure.

I believe that its to do with 2 bus companies - Serco and another one whose name I can't remember. (There are more than 2 bus companies in Adelaide obviously, but I don't know how many there are). You're right ant, the bus routes most affected are some southern ones and all the O-Bahn buses, as well as the Footy Express buses.

It is an inconvenience to all bus users, especially if there are no other alternatives for transport, including other bus routes. I just guess we have to hope that an agreement is made regarding the pay rises as soon as possible.

The Southern Express service WILL be running to Footy Park on Saturday night.

Which doesn't affect me as i'll be watching Sturt on Saturday then getting stuck in ****ty traffic

What rubbish Dave

There is a bloody footy game every weekend

What should they do, wait till cricket season?

Strike is a legitimate form of industrial action.

These guys are fighting for their livelihoods. If the cost of that is a few Crows supporters needing to find another way to the footy then so be it

THEy have been negotiating for six months with no success.

I don't know all the issue but as I understand it the conditions of bus drivers have gone steadily downhill since the services were privatised

Let them work from home.

I am sure our employer would be happy with that;)

Hey, watch it girl!!!!!! :p :p

If the head is not too heavy by midday tommorrow (from excesive drinking tonight), we'll be going to Unley to watch the mighty Eagles trash those Sturt boys:p and if the Crows manage to beat Richmond, the weekend would be complete:)

Not much of a drinker lately but I did promise my cousin I'll get ****ed on his 21st so I have to keep that promise tonight.

Not that I am complaining:)

Good enough reason than any!

If it was anything like my 21st I slept during the Crows match :D
