Tim McGrath is a Legend!!

A true Champion.

Dependable, Determined, Capable and ever RELIABLE!!

Congratulations to Bluey on a stellar career in Football,
may he stick around the GFC forever,
build many new houses
and have a great future!

What memories!!

Hope the VFL Premiership is his!!

On Ya Bluey!!

Sad to see him go, but it's great to see him playing in a top of the ladder VFL team, who will probably win the premiership. A reward to a great carreer.

200+ Great Games in the seniors. Tough, relyable defender, who has done more than required in keeping the star forwards at day!

Thanks for the memories Bluey!!:)

Go Cats!!:)

Well done Timmy

I'll still be campaigning for you to be back in the ones! :)

Congratulations to Tim McGrath on a great career with the Geelong Football Club. His battles with the great Wayne Carey were always good to watch and his excitement when he kicked a goal was great to see as well!!

I remember his first game for us back in 1992 when Jason Dunstall kicked 8 goals on him in just over 2 quarters before Malcolm Blight moved him off the great full forward....

Lets hope Bluey is rewarded with playing in a VFL Premiership this year. :)

Go Cats!!

I thought I heard on White Line Fever tonight that he is going to continue playing with the VFL next year. Can anyone confirm this?
I hope so, that means he is not lost to the Club.

If this is the case, how do we manage it as far as list numbers and salary cap is concerned next season??

As Jubs said, he will be merely a top-up player. Hence he won't be on the list, nor will his wages come under the salary cap.

He will be just like our other top ups, Trevaskis, Bauer etc.

Thanks for that info guys. I wasn't sure how it works but it would be good to see Tim McGrath stay around the club and help the younger players.

I wonder if Menschy will do the same thing?? ;)

Go Cats!!
