But then we get to the too many talls/lack of defensive pressure situation. If he doesn't mark it he can't chase and is not what I'd call light on his feet, Irish will chase and Fev chasing depends on his mood. If we want to bottle it up in our forward 50 we'll need the smaller guys around.
Plus just don't think coaches like the bomb long approach these days. Even the Saints don't do it that much and look at their forward line. the're just lucky Riewoldt is so mobile.

You're stubborn Alpha I'll give you that... How about this then, The mids struggle to look for anyone other than Fev anyway. You put Clokey, Irish and Fev down there and they'll probably freak out and kick it into the stands.

That's where the game plan, MC, coach comes in. We drill it into them, look at Geelong at well oiled machine. I see no reason why we can't be like that, robotic and ruthless.
ah ha..... but Geelong don't have 3 talls in their forward line. Arn't most of their goals kicked by midfielders anyway 
Seriously though I reckon the best set up for us while Fev still plays for Carlton is to have him and one other tall, whether that be Irish, Waite or Kruezer and guys like Betts, Yazza/Garlett, Walks and Robbo.
If we win centre bounces/stoppages and delivery quickly and accurately by foot we'll win more than lose anyway

Gotta split Alpha. If I haven't convinced you Cloke is not required after this season we'll have to agree to disagree. Anyway he might be contracted for next year I don't know. Take it easy

Disagree ..... We need to be a different team from Geelong, we need to play our style. Cloke fits perfectly into our future plans. We know he can take those big pack marks and we know that he can bring the ball to ground. We will see this happening next season, where we will have Cloke in the square, Fev in front of him, Irish at CHF and Eddie, Garlett, Yarran as the mosquito fleet in the forward line.
