Hey doogie supporters,

Just your thoughts on Cam Faulkner, I remember him coming to you guys with abit of a reputation, but he never quite got it right with you guys. Just wondering on his performances with werribee, has he got anything to offer another club?

Not at AFL level. Given ample opportunities, but just not up to it. Injuries didn't help, but also seemed to get "lost" on the field at times. The 50 metre penalty he gave away against Richmond early in the 2005 season is a perfect example. Cam just wandered across the mark, completely oblivious to what was happening around him.

A disappointing end for Cam.

He played some quality games and roles for Werribee this year, and was starved of opportunity in the senior team. His cards were marked fairly early on in the year, I'd say. It was disappointing, but he could be a wildcard to get picked up in the PSD, or at the least, continue playing some good football at a lower level. Obviously, not a many clubs would be taking a LOT of interest in him, but if he can convince someone that he's ready to put in the hard yards, he certainly has enough natural talent and attack on the football to be a serviceable player.

Thats what people keep telling me. But i looked back over the Werribee season a little and he was named in the best about 3 or 4 times. Hardly what you expect of an AFL listed player at 23 years of age and been in the system long enough.

Speak to Simon Atkins and he will tell you otherwise. Simon kept putting his name up for seniors until he was realised there was not going to be another senior appearence for Cam.

Poor ole Simon, looks like Willy are the flavor for next season.

a poor end to cam at the dogs. Hope he gets picked up.

Perhaps he might head back to SA he mentioned at a Selectors Table Dinner that he wanted to head home after his footy career was over his family lives in some town somewhere outside of Adelaide ( can't remember the name ) ....perhaps the Crows or PA might throw him a lifeline if not perhaps the SANFL might be the go. Good Luck to him and I wish him the best.

Same here, I only went to 6 or 7 games this year and watched a couple on TV, but he didn't really stand out in any of them, not how you'd expect him to. He's got a lot of natural talent but he doesn't seem interested enough, I'd like to see him get picked up in the PSD if that's what he wants to do, he didn't really do anything wrong, he just didn't do enough.

Good luck Cam with getting redrafted and with the rabbit hunting. Im sure theres something similar to Brimbank Park in SA if you do head back home.

Rodan V.2.0

rodan was completely different, he was a decent player before going down with a knee reco. Terry took one look at him the year after his knee recovery and gave him the flick. Everyone knows it takes until the following year to get back to your best.

faulks just isn't good enough for afl football, funnily enough he's not fit enough and not quick enough at that level.
