Thanks mate. I guess we have been burnt before with elevating a few rookies a bit too early. Ramsay, Plapp, Haynes and Vardy weren't really show stoppers.

Cam Howatt... deserves a run on the list. Could do worse and l think its a good recognition scheme for those that work hard. Would rather promote a hard working talent, than a guess at pick 84.

i cant beleive we put guys like him and humm on the rookie list, rookies are for development of bodies or a player that has a bit of x factor not your run of the mill 10th string midfielders

no doubt he deserves a position ahead of some others but that still doesnt make it right

Give the Kid a break, because he's not a nathan buckley or james hird he's no good, there are alot worse players in the AFL then Cam Howatt and 1 of them is on our side and consistently in our starting 22.

ok he's a little bit shorter then greg tivendale but he's alot more damaging and still has time on his side.

well your not going to improve a hell of a lot if your a 22 year old midget

as said previously no doubt he is better than some of what we have already but for mine its not enough

if you told me howat or tivendale its howat in a heartbeat, if you said pick 58 or howat well thats where a 17 year old will always prevail

wouldnt mind it if he could start the year on the list in place of cogs or newy so they get to 100% and he can prove he's worth it

5 games is plenty to judge is he is small, weak, and already in his mid 20's.

The games he played in (more so the wins) were towards the end of the season against crap sides when we were already out of the finals race - I wouldn't read too much into those stats.

Height is important for wingman these days and more so has football evolves. Think Goodes, Embley, Mattner types - the kind of postion JON will be groomed for (wing/HBF).

Decent player but shouldn't go on the senior list. Needs another big year in the 2's and push for senior selection.

He actually played well against West Coast and the Western Bulldogs and last time i checked they are 2 very good teams.
Are you telling me you'd rather play JON instead of him?

Id be absolutely staggered if he wasn't promoted onto list proper...proved in last 3 rounds that he is up to the level and will most certainly challenge for a posi in R1

i haven't seen a better first six games from a Richmond player since maybe richardson, and then Rioli
