He is heading for the draft ...what are your thoughts on Carlton picking him up .
IMO he is a very good prospect very handy forward who is a great set shot on goal .
although we don't really require many more forwards he may be handy if we lose a couple through injury

Very good player but he's not suited to us at the moment unfortunately.

He would be a very good fit at say Essendon.

Speaking of former and current Tassie Devils, Carlton should look at Ian Callinan for a rookie spot (going to keep this push going... lol.) Mid-Fiedler who rests in the forward pocket with sublime skills, very good motor and great goal sense. He is short but that's the idea with the position he plays.

Wouldn't have thought so. We'll only have 1 pick in the PSD and we've already committed to McLaren.

I agree with you about Callinan being a very good prospect but the same problem arises ..he's not what we need right now

No thankls on Thurley. Ok Player but turns 24 this month and at 181cms with no real pace he is only going to be a decent finisher in a good team. Is behind Ablett, Johnson and Chapman as small forwards for Geelong.

Does not provide much defensive pressure and all he seems to have is a nice kick and the ability to convert in front of goal.

Would be wasted on our list.

We are committed to McLaren and 4 picks in the draft anyway.

I agree with Mojo - Thurley is not what we need. Would rather take a chance on a youngster like Gilham, or would even prefer 22 year old Cupido.
