Can someone define a Frontrunner?

If a front runner is a little guy, then thats fair enough. They have a lot of run, but not much to offer in the physical side of things. What is frustrating as **** though is when big guys are front runners. That just indicates that they are soft as butter and gutless.

Can't wait till tomorrow when he rips your midfield a new one :thumbsu:

Nick Stevens gutless  Obviously you've never seen him play in your life.

24 out of 25 games AND the Pre Season flag, but lets not let facts get in the way.

According to the accepted definition of a front runner, you've done nothing to defeat the argument.

Are you saying your team got beaten by 125 points in a Qualifying Final by a team of frontrunners?

A team that wins by 125 points can contain a number of front runners, yes.

A front runner performs really well in a winning team but goes missing in a losing team.

I take it you have never played football, as it seems you have little idea about what a front runner actually is.

No... A front runner is a reciever. They aren't two different things.

Oh yes they are.

A front runner CAN be a receiver but it aint necessarily so.

One is an outside player and playmaker who receives the ball from inside midfielders. The other simply plays well only when the team is winning.

Other than the fact that every single person who has defined a front runner in this thread has agreed with my definition, I have indeed played football, but kudos to you for your unapologetic testosterone fueled sexism - you been watching Wayne Carey?

The only reason they do well when the team is doing well is because someone has already put their head in and got the hard ball. The reason they don't do well when the team isn't is because nobody has put their head in to get the hard ball, and they aren't going to be the one to do it. Therefore there is nobody getting the ball that will give them the cheap give out the back of the pack. I'm sorry, but you are wrong. A front runner in the true sense of the word is always a reciever.

I guess I'm just a little older than you and come from the era when the term was more widely used and understood.

But surely you can see how they are often one in the same.

If his team mates aren't dishing the ball out to him (the receiver) then he's not going to get a kick. When the team is flying, there's plenty of ball coming out and he's racking them up.

THere's plenty of commonality.
