Canadian Kid Discovers Ancient Mayan City?

Pretty cool story of a 15 year Canadian who has apparently discovered a long lost ancient Mayan city using astronomy and Google Earth. Smart kid.

Whilst the ancient city was probably plundered in ancient times of any treasure, hopefully local authorities and archaeologists can preserve what is left.

Its an example of media entertainment 'science' which actual scientists have to expend time and energy trying to fight.

FFS, the author referred to a 15 year old kid as a 'young scientist'.
