Until last year, Melbourne had not beaten us for 7 years. I just remind them about that, generally shuts them up.
Hopefully this week we will ignite a new era of defeat for Melbourne after 7 years of doom when they faced Richmond.

Melbourne are a very good side and on their day can beat anyone.

This is the kind of team we must beat to be a contender.

I rate Melbourne highly, but they are prone to lapses that cost them games. If we can beat them we can probably keep out heads above water and get the double chance.

If we can win it is likely that the other teams will smash themselves and teams in the top 3-4 can sit back and wait for the finals while the others capitulate.
