I think Thommo wants to give it to the younger guys at this stage, to have them step us and learn the responsibility which is key to being captain.

I'd say Luke Ball and Nick Riewoldt are in the running, but don't count out the more experienced campaigners. It will be someone from last years (2004) leadership group (minus Black, obviously).

ball can't really handle the media attention at the moment and needs a bit more experience, although riewoldt handles it too well. Riewoldt is more the obvvious choice if u know anything about footy

Niether of them have been captain of an AFL side before, so we DON'T actually know that one would be better than the other.

Assuming you barrack for Collingwood, our "stupid" heritage guernsey is a design over a decade older than your entire club, St Kilda having first worn the design upon re-entry to the VFA in 1881.
