Just announced on Ten News a short while ago, as well-- with more details to follow later on, on Fox Footy, certainly.

Good move by the GFC leadership.

King has shown to be the team's leader-by-example on the field in the past, and it's a fair reward to see him awarded with the new role and responsibilities.

A step in the right direction again by Mark Thompson; the Cats keep moving forward. :)

Cheers,
William

On the extended, and lead sports, segment aired just now on Ten News, Thompson noted that it was a hope that Graham would return to his old playing form without being burdened by the responsibilities as team captain. That's what prompted the move...

Cheers,
William

I hope that Graham can find his old form and Kingy doesnt lose his form.

Should be a good year for us I reckon.

Graham should be pumped up!!!

Go Cats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steven King is a fantastic leader on the field for Geelong, similar to Port Power Captain, Matthew Primus.

Lets hope King can show the young Cats the way forward along with Sanderson, Ling and the other senior and more experienced players at our club.

Congratulations to Kingy! That's a great achievement for someone of his age! He has had a great couple of seasons and has many more to come, and this is the best reward! I'm sure he'll do a sensational job! :)

Well done also to Sando, and especially Ling. This will be Cameron's 4th season at the GFC and to be given a leadership role at his young age is really awesome! :)

Go Cats!! :)

Cameron Ling is a great asset for Geelong and lets hope he has a long and great career with the mighty Cats... injury free!! :)
