nope shouldnt have any bearing on it what so ever, they are all tigers now. Why should a guy who may have better leadership qualities be penalised because he wasnt with us when he first started his AFL career?

This is Bowden's 10th year at the club I think... maybe only 9. Still, I reckon he was our most courageous player last year, comes across professionally and I reckon he could grow into that role very well.

Nice to have some competition for the position anyway...

Johnson. Consistency that Bowden and Richo have lacked, and a part of 2 premiership sides. Brown is unlucky, because he was our most consistent player last year, but I think Johnson's style will be more appealing to all at tigerland.

If there wasnt a doubt over cogs for this year id say just give it to him but since there is it should probaly be bowden, i think will bring the most out of bowden and would in turn get more out of the team.

With our lack of a clear candidate we need the best SHORT TERM option
Sugar, Bowden & Brown are all 27 and all would have the captaincy for 4+ years
We need someone to take the position for 2 years which gives Coughlan, Jackson & Deledio the chance to build their leadership credentials.
Richo is the prime candidate for this very reason.
