Wouldnt surprise me if we ended up with co-captains, they will be Bruce and Green. They are best mates, as good as each other. But 1 thing pops to mind remember how Brue came close to leaving, i believe that Bruces contract could have involved being a future capitan, cos he was offer big money from Essendon.

I think it will be given to Bruce because Yze is not that young and when Neita retires or gives it up I think Bruce will get it, after him Rivers or Miller.

there are too many intangibles i tihnk....

i could see the following happen:

1. Brad Miller becomes a league leading CHF and tkaes the mantle from neitz
2. travis johnstone wins the next three brownlows and melbourne wins the next three flags.... and we give the captaincy to bruce.
3. sylvia systematically kills everyone else in the team and claims himself as "King of Melbourne, all who oppose him will perish"

I think Miller displays the best leadership qualities out of the group of candidates. I'm not too sure if I want Yze, Bruce, Green or Johnstone as my next captain because I like tough players leading the squad.

Actually now I think that Miller would make a great captain, as he has already shown some leadership qualities and will be with our club for many more years.

What this thread highlights is that we now have many possible options for a future captain, something which was a little worrying a couple of years ago. The club is definitely on the right track!!
