Carlton 17th Flag?

This year will decide if we are a chance for a 17 flag in 2013. I have had a look at the complete list on who could be in the starting 22.The defense is still the major concern.I have been generous to Warnock,Robinson and Lucas but all 3 improved during the season but show they could be part of it.

Matthew Watson should hold one of the key defense spot but like everything we need to first see how he goes.McCarthy,Mcinness and Mitchell will need time.

The players in the Find out this year need to improve all across the board and stay injury free.I've listed mature age players Collins and Duigan in their as they both should have some impact straight away.

Michael Jamison might be a interesting one.He will be 27 in 2013 and being the key position defender it's a little concern with injuries and is a touch small for Full Back.I've Listed him both in 22 and Find Out this year.

The unlikely are players who know they need a big 2011 to stay on the list.Heath Scotland age is his problem to be their in 2013.The ages are 2013 ages in brackets.

Good thread. I've got my doubts about Bower, not ability wise because I think he could reach AA level, but whether his body is able to hold up to the rigours of elite level football.

Yeah those are my thoughts recently too, I have no doubt about his ability, but these damn injuries

Kade will be starting 22 until at least 2013.

Can't say I understand why you think they'd move JR out of defence when that's where he's clearly played his best football? On that basis, and given that he's improved with every year and displays all of the attributes the MC seem to want (willingness to run both ways, hard at it, loads of pace) - I think Armfield could take the position that JR would vacate on the wing.
