Stevens Captain
Kouta out of the goal square
campo may retire
Trade fev for draft picks, potentially have 4 in top 20 (pagans had enough of him)
Infighting amongst the board
15 players traded or delisted

take what you like out of it

Stevens captain seems logical.
Kouta not sure about, rather see Waite, Fisher, Red etc.. Maybe backline if he has enough pace.
Campo, no one will pick him up so he has to make a choice. His experience would be good with our youngsters.
Trade Fev. If a good deal is there it is worth a look.
Infighting will always be a rumour.
15 players is way too much. Although we could easily find 15 to get rid of, it would leave to big a hole. Phase them out with the kids.

That's my 2 cents.

stevens as captain- i also think thats logical!

kouta- no way, kouta's brains in the centre of the ground is needed, he gets so much of the ball and hes got great knowlage of the game, his injury's have caught up on him and he wouldnt be able to play down back aswell as he use to!

campo wont retire and wont leave carlton, his heart is navy blue and he will be great to our young stars in our team and he will be a good leader like he has for the last couple of years!

Fev- how can u say "trade fev", hes kicked nearly 50 goals for us this year and hes been playing with a groin strain for the last 10 weeks, next year he will be back to his normal self and kicking bags for us once again, and he will get his bursting pace back again and his great leap!

infighting amongst the board- possible

15 players traded or de listed- carlton do need to rebuild, but they dont have to go that far back, they need to use there draft picks smartly, im sure they will do that and not ******** up like the dockers did a few years ago :p... dont get me wrong, there is a few that they need to get rid of and there is a few that should be traded

Everyone is intitled to their opinion but for mine Campo is a negative influence on the kids. His heart may be Carlton but he is not very connected to his heart. He has way too much connection on being a victim. His mind is on problems like umpires, taggers etc and as such is blocking his connection to his heart and passion. Could be a great player and leader for the next 2-3 years but needs to have a very deep look at himself IMO.

- Stevens I agree with
- Kouta I agree with
- Campo I don't agree with, won't happen IMO. He will play BP all year.
- Won't trade Fev, will trade Whitnall IMO - probably to the WB for pick 11 and a player such as Hahn
- Infighting? That's all we need!
- 15 won't be delisted or traded although I wouldn't argue if they did that. I think 8-10 will go, maybe 10 all up traded or delisted. Pick up 6-7 kids in draft, 1 in PSD and 2 rookie promotions (Smith & Setanta)

Stevens Captain- good choice

Kouta out of the goal square- unlikely, may spend less time in middle but too valuable to keep out of there all together. maybe a riccardi type role off the bench or rest in the fwd pocket

campo may retire- IMO will go around again

Trade fev for draft picks, potentially have 4 in top 20 (pagans had enough of him)- can't see it happen, unless it was a top 6 pick and a quaity player, would have to pay some of his wages. KP fwds don't grow on tree's

Infighting amongst the board- there would be no surprise there, when you are not winning games and making money issues come to the surface

15 players traded or delisted- way too many changes in 1 year 1
/3 of the list), we tried this in 2003, didn't have the desired effect. draft picks take time to develop. we need to add to our talent pool not just replace. also we need to be competitive in 2006/07

FWIW- we are not that far behind teams ahead of us.
2004 we showed we can be competitive.
in 2006 we just need to get some early wins and build momentum. footy is about confidence and that can only come with wins. we also need to get more out of our 3rd. 4th and 5th year players.
we had enough promising signs to show we can turn things around but we need 100% effort each week and some luck.

1. I think that Kouta should remain captain next year to allow for Jarrad Waite to step into the position in 2007. He can easily lead us for the next 10 years and I believe is more of a true Carlton man than Stevens.
2. I think he will continue to play in the midfield for most of the games and then drop to the forward line for a break
3. Campo will not retire. He will be retained for some experience and guidance for youngsters
4. Keep Fev! He is a match winner and 2 first round picks are just not worth it for him.
5. Who knows???
6. Number will be more like 10-12. With about 8 delistings and the potential trades of Whitnall, Lappin and Houlihan
