Credit to Porthos on the Port board for letting me steal his idea....

I recall TGR posting a similar thread last year....let's add some spice this year with points awarded and a winner crowned....with a month to go, put your money where your mouth is:

Name up to 6 (SIX) players that you think Carlton might draft. This includes both new draftees and recycled players. You get points based on where we picked them.

Drafted at #12: 3pts
Drafted at #43: 5pts
Late national draft, pre-season draft or rookie-listed: 2pts

EXCLUSION: If we draft Serhat Temel, Matthew Panos or Majak Daw everyone loses.

BONUSES/PENALTIES
Selected in national draft but didn't appear in Burgatron phantom draft: 3pt
You are not a Carlton supporter: -3pts
Essenscum drafted your player: -1 Angst
Player is quoted as being in our top 20 best available in the next day's media:+2pts

Your list includes Serhat Temel, Matthew Panos or Majak Daw and we don't draft them: -2pts
Incorrect spelling of a players name: -1/2 pt

The Super Double
You may bold, or otherwise clearly mark, 2 (two) player names on your list. If these players are the one we pick at pick #12, you get a bonus 3 (three) points!

Winner gets bragging rights, and is added to the ladder of greatness at the top of future draft game threads.

Lists are considered final at some point on the night of Wednesday the 25th of November; you can edit them as many times as you like before then. You'll know you're too late when I post to that effect.

Break a leg

Aaron Black
Daniel Talia
Jake Carlisle
Joel Houghton
Sam Shaw
Ayden Kennedy

I just concentrated on 2 picks to give myself a good chance, i picked the first 2 as i thought they were easiest and you got the most points from them

Ayden Kennedy

Kennedy was supposed to be my smokey! No-one knows about him around these boards :p

Mine is fairly similar to yours...

Daniel Talia - Provides us with an athletic tall who is probably more suited to the back half. He can play up forward which is more what we need but between Waite, Austin, Henderson and Talia we would have great flexibility with our talls. I also prefer Thornton and Bower (may change my mind once he puts on weight) as 3rd talls rather than KP.

Aaron Black - The bolter in this draft really, he has performed well in the WAFL colts and one of his two games at senior level he played in the ruck and had a very good game. Again a versitile tall forward, fills a need.

Ayden Kennedy - Not many people know much about him as he has really only been in the 'system' for one year. He would play on a flank early on, he has good skills and athleticism as evident in the DC. With time could become a KPP once he fills out.

Alex Carey - tough mid, gives us another inside player to add more grunt. Probably gone by pick 43.

Joel Houghton - another tall forward option, could suprise a few. Seems a bit like Post IMO.

Mark Hutchings - Another hard at it mid. As you can see I think we need more of that and we may draft this way. (I am aware that we got Mclean for that purpose but we are still lacking in those tough mids IMO)

Great idea.

I've had a close look at the draft candidates. May need to change this once Carlton finalises its list.

#12 Andrew Moore or Troy Taylor

#43 Dylan Grimes or Marcus Davies

Late pick Mark Hutchings

Rookie Jordan Williams

Good luck and Go Blues.
