Carlton. Merger?

Carlton is one of the clubs I dislike the most. However, I would dislike it even more if they were not part of the AFL. Rivalries is what makes any league great, no matter the team. I would not like to see any clubs go under.

Hopefully, the AFL will take a page out of the NFL and use their revenue sharing strategies so that all clubs have a better chance at survival.

But for now, fans of financially struggling clubs, get your memberships renewed and support your club.

Exactly what we're doing mate I don't know why some oppn fans don't see that ,I wouldn't call a drop in one season of 1-2000 as fans jumping off

In 1989 the Footscary Football Club faced the axe, they survived, some see them as Flag contenders this year, so there is no way the Carlton Football Club is going anywhere.

They have a poor management team which appears to only ever have had one aim and that was to get rid of Elliot for they clearly have no plan to run a football club.

Just shows how many bandwagoning fans they have. A true fan would support their club by buying memberships and attending games not matter what, not just turn up when things are going well

If this is the case then why have the past four years yielded the most members in the clubs history?

Only a matter of time before we are back, so enjoy it while it lasts. Now that we have the right recruiting processes in place, a much stronger coaching panel, our list is improving year by year and significant on field improvement is two seasons away at most. After that, more money flows into the club and the Carlton Football Club will be back on track.

And you all better hope we finish bottom in '07, because supporters of every single team on BF have laid the boots in, and no matter who it is, whoever finishes below us this year is going to cop it sweet come years end.

All this talk of Carlton folding etc. is irresponsible. It makes us Collingwood fans get all giddy with excitement. What happens if they don't? The disappointment will be too great to bear. Still, the thought of it happening....mmmmmmmmm!!

I'd be disappointed if they did fold, I like many Collingwood supporters hate Carlton, but the league wouldn't be the same in Carlton was to fold.

Don't forget we were in a bad position too and almost went belly up, watching your club almost die gives you a new persective on the matter.

I want the board out. They are incompetent and inept. I'll be using my vote to cast them out.
The latest attempt by Rose was unforgivable. Putting his own interests before the club just typifies what he, Smorgan and Wilson are all about.
A very poor attempt at vote catching which backfired on him. He died by his own hand. Hopefully the other 3 will follow him.
While they remain at the helm the Carlton Football Club will never emerge from this nightmare.
