Hi all,

(This isn't a troll) - I have been compiling a list of each club's players and their contractual status (to view, click here - http://www.magpies.net/nick/bb/viewtopic.php?t=25648 ), and I'm wondering if you can help me out here.

Are there any changes to be made to the following list/do you know the status of players 'unknown'?

you have missed david teague who is also unfortunately contracted in 2007

Prenda is out of contract. He was on SEN VFL against Werribee and stated no contract and i think Teague is in the same boat.

Is Kade Simpson contracted?

Simpson is out of contract at years end. He should be an absolute priority to get signed sooner rather than later.

we are - doesn't seem the club are from what we have seen -

The same would apply for Betts, Blackwell, Fisher, Russell and Thornton. Would hope for at least 2 years for these guys and hopefully 3 for Simpson.
Would say that Hartlett and Wiggins deserve 1 year contracts.

No doubt the club are waiting to see who is on offer for trade week so they can work out the salaries and at least pay the minimum. I don't see how we can pay 100% of the cap this year, we just don't have the players. Someone like Simmo would probably get a decent earner to push us over the minimum. I don't think he is going anywhere and I think the club would have told him that.

now that kouta has been signed, things will start falling into place.

we are struggling for money so we need to be very careful with our contracts
also we have a bottom 4 playing list so we also need to be careful and creative with our list mangament, there may need to be some tough calls made at season end.

Sentantam Simpson and Thorton are essential for future success. Be nice to give murphy and fev 10 yr deals... but what are you gunna do.
