HT. 46-12 up. Really strong first half performance. The ball movement has been great. Clear directive to get the ball through the corridor. Lots of players also making smart decisions when under pressure. Elijah far too good for this level. Pittonet/Harding a nice combo in the ruck. And some nice performances from the VFL listed players like Hogg, Paea and Phipps-Parsons

REALLY like paea, just the run and dash, the willingness to take risks, awesome. Are GC this bad or are we that good?

Hogg would have to be a player we must be close to considering giving an opportunity to. Looks a genuine strong bodied powerful half forward type.

Hollands looks fit.

Lucas Camporeale looks to have improved his kicking which is good news, making progress. Has added size as well.

I am a fan of Charleson.

Really like the brand of footy they are trying to play in the reserves. Very modern game style offensively. They set up some great plays, open the game up and setup to run through the middle.

I've been a fan of Charleson for a few games now. Has everything needed to make the big time. Could use a bit more size about him, but considering it's his first season, I'll give him a pass on that. Wouldn't mind seeing him getting a debut next week.

I think that Darcy would be given a rookie spot next year. Maybe take him through the SSP... the first one, not the second.

Mind you, we also have to get DGB and Phillips onto the senior list some how. In a year where there is a dearth of KPD, we might be struggling to keep them.

I'd love to see Hogg be given a spot on the senior list and take his fitness level up to another level.

Big strong bodied playes with that sort of power and pace do not grow on trees. Ones who have that level of skill and forward smarts also do not.

My take on Hogg is that he is a really good VFL player with a lot of AFL attributes who could become an AFL player if trained hard enough and given opportunity. I think he potentially is a better prospect than White, Young, Fogarty and Fantasia. He's a strong body which in the modern game with forward lines being very congested, is important.

If he was on the senior list I would be arguing that he should be playing AFL next week.

Paea is someone we should be looking at with O'Farrell out for the season and Silvagni most likely leaving. He looks AFL quality.

This game is worth a watch. They are playing modern footy, a heap of run and carry players in the side and they run the opposition down. It's been good to watch.

Just a genuine, natural footballer. He's a bit like Nick Newman. Knows where to be instinctively for the outlet, defends well, will run with the ball and hit targets. Just reads the game so nicely. He will fit into well structured footy with a good system.

I think we will need to clean the list out and make some space. There are a good handful of small forwards on our list who don't have much talent and to me are not natural forwards. I think Hogg as more upsize than most of them. There is a lot to like about him. I think if we don't take him someone else will. He's the sort of player teams like Geelong really go for.

I know it’s a long shot for us to make VFL finals at this stage - but is there a world where next week, we pop Walsh/Cerra in the VFL side, bring Ben Campo back in from suspension, and try to nab a win against the 2nd place VFL Bulldogs? With enough percentage, there is a non-zero chance of them being in the top 10…

Worth saying, VFL team keeps producing guys with potential.

Development in the team seems to be pretty good.

I agree. I’d love to see Luke Power in the senior coaches box next year as an assistant. I fear we may lose him soon otherwise. Ebert could be elevated to coach the 2s.

We make basics look very difficult.
