Just an update to all interested baggers fans out there...I managed to get down to OO to have a look at the boys on the track yesterday and I must say they all looked pretty sharp. Even BIG Carlos (O'Hailpin) was hitting the targets!

Walker looks super fit and very likely to be selected for the game against the Cats on Sunday. Angwin was participating in full training as was Bowyer. Kouta ran about 25,000 laps and didn't seem to be limping at all which is great news for us Blue Baggers and not so great news for all opposition supporters/teams.

Checked the time - sure this isn't an April's Fools gag?

Kouta is running but is not expected back for a few weeks. Walker is not considered to be called up for the seniors just yet. Angwin is out for another month or more.

So ... is this for real and the Blues are playing ducks and drakes with their injury list or is this a gee up?

Lucky you didn't mention Waitey, he's definitely a few weeks away.

ODN - Not an April Fools gag nor is it a gee up

I don't think I suggested Kouta would be back this week nor did I suggest Angwin would be playing....I was just providing an update on where the players were at for the benefit of those unable to make it to training themselves....(25,000 laps was just meant to illustrate that Kouta did nothing but run laps....without a limp).

The Walker call was just my opinion based on the way he trained......and coming up against an injury depleted Cats side might be just the opportunity for him. I'm sure Carlton and Walker) were always aiming for a round one debut for our No. 1 draft pick. Perhaps an ambitious call by me but if you were there I'm sure you would have impressed with the way he trained- and I still think he's a real chance to play this week - IMO

And for the record Waite was on the track.....admittedly he could hardly walk and only did about 20mins of in close ball skill work with Kouta, Libba and some other guy, but he was definatley there.

Angwin is about a week away.
Kouta is about 2 maybe 3.

Walker, Davies, McKormack,McGrath and Simpson given more time so this team can be as stable as p[ossible before the inclusions of Stevo next wee, Angwin probably the week after with maybe Kouta.

Weve already got alot of changes so Denis will keep it as stable as possible early on, tiull the others are fit and in.
Most of the tinkering will happen after theyre in.

No harm done Badabing. Just checking, first post and all and it happened to be on April 1st. It was probably the most positive outlook I had read about our injured players in a while. My 8 year old daughter already got me with an April Fool's gag this morning and I was determined not to be gullible for the rest of the day.

Look forward to reading more of your opinions, especially training observations. :)

I guess the beauty of BigFooty is that once you make a prediction there is no-where to hide if your wrong

I do try and get to training as often as I can so I will be sure to tell all you Blues fans out there the latest with what's happening on and off the track! I'll be keeping an eye on the ground and an ear out for the whispers taking place in the stands of the social club....there is always some "interesting" discussion taking place up there on training day

Looking forward to our first game at OO this week - hopefully we can come away with the four points and belt out our song at the end of a game instead of just when the team runs out for a change!!

GO YOU BLUE BAGGERS!!!!!!
