i never understood why we set up a different thread for the actual team list when we have so many threads on ins and outs.

Interesting team selection. They obviously think the match-ups and Setanta's form doesn't justify selection. He hasn't been in great form, but is useful against the very tall KP forwards. Naming Walker as an emergency highlights the increasing competition for spots. Last year he would have been included automatically.

I dont think form is the reason for this one, I just think, and to paraphrase you, we have an ever-burgeoning list of quality that extends beyond the 22 and into the realms of future brilliance.

They dont have a lot of good talls. Waite and Jamison with Thornton in reserve is enough.

i hope to god walker doesnt get announced last minute coz i think its too early to bring him in, he has only had 2 matches with the ants!!

Murph, Gibbs or Kruezer have never had to play in the Ants, why does Walker have too??

I thought his shoulder was okay. Cannot agree with this, they should have played him in the forward line.

Maybe they are going to run him through the midfield for the Bullants this week.

since when have murph gibbs or kruzer come off a half a season injury?

walker was struggling to hit targets in the ants. he is rusty, what the hell is the rush? its about developing a premiership team in a few years time, not risking some of our best young talent to push for a finals series where we will simply be making up the numbers.

When Murph did his shoulder, it was half-way thru the season or something, when he came back, it was thru pre-season, so there was no point in it, I spose........

Walker has got in the best two games in a row for the Bullants FFS.

No wonder he was a little upset(if that was indeed the case), our MC must have been smoking some bad weed this week.

Hopefully we have a good win and he'll be back next week after running through the midfield in the Ants.

wat im trying to say is that i think we are bringing him in too quick, afta his shoulder!

Not fair to compare the above 3 to Walker;
1. They have never been seriously injured
2. He has proven less in more years of footy than any of the above 3. Ask any objective Carlton (or other team) supporter.
Unfortunately his best game was his first for the club and has been quite ordinary since. No opposition supporter would rate Walker at this stage of his career. With that said, there is a long way to go in his career - hopefully he can reverse this.
