It certainly would, if it WERE true!
The AFL did give Sydney a loaner, which was PAID BACK IN FULL several years ago. A large component of the lucrative TV broadcasting rights would have been in part due to sydney's profile in the largest market in the country.
North Melb and West Bulldogs have made a pile of money recently by playing matches IN SYDNEY.
I'm quite comfortable with my club's position in the AFL's financial landscape. you mustn't be very happy with yours.
