Fantastic news! I have just read that the ABC has bought, from channel 9, the rights to screen the HBO series "Carnivale", meaning it will go to air at a reasonable hour, uncut and ad free.
I have seen the entire first season thanks to a friend who sent me the tapes from the US and think it it the best series I have seen, from anywhere, in years. Superbly produced, with a stunning cast, a complex and intelligent storyline and enough intrigue and suspense to keep you hooked from the get go, I can assure you it is unmissable entertainment.
Nick Stahl, Clea Duvall, Clancy Brown and Patrick Bachau are the main stars although the entire ensemble is made up of excellent character actors such as John Savage and Adrienne Barbeau.
Read all about it here -

and keep your eyes peeled to the ABC program guide.
Now if someone would only pick up the brilliant new western series "Deadwood", which is just as good.
