Got a lot of credit at the time for the midfield that was doing well over the 00/01 period in particular. Thought he'd make a good senior coach when given the chance.
Others may feel different but that's what my view on his at the time was anyway.

Can confirm that totally. Many believed that he should have got the senior job instead of PS in 2000. Was the driving force behind improving moral in all areas of the club and introducing tactics that helped to take the Hawks to a prelim in 2001.
But he could end up suffering from the "Football Club Syndrome" - change for the sake of change.
