Hi there all, I have a question regarding censorship but before I ask the question I would like to set the scene.
Few days ago I posted on a topic regarding which Disney character are you... My post was humorous, in an irrelevant sort of a way, and I used a s##t word. My post was as follows and I quote.

I have no idea what yo'all are smoking but it must be good....
"
To my suprise on the following day when I re-read the post I found that my response went missing. At the time I was slightly annoyed but then I though well maybe my attempt at humour was seen as somehow hijacking the topic and was cleand up in response to this. Whilst I did not necesserally agree with this I kind of was willing to let it go.
Then two days ago I noticed that I had a PM from Mobbenfuhrer and it said:
"Edit: PM removed"
This annoyed me (I was actually going to use the pi...ed me off but chose not to just in case this post is censored/removed). THe reason it annoyed me is because of the selective use of censorship. I fully do acknowledge that I did swear and I did avoid the swear filter, however the annoying part is that I am not the first not am I the last person to do so and yet for some reason my post has been removed and other posts remain.
Given this I thought I would send a humorous response to our estimed moderator:
"Surely you jest!
"
To which the response was:
"Edit: PM Removed"
No I understand that as a moderator Kev is supposed to uphold certain standards and I also acknowledge that I may have breached them. Having said that I also believe that if a set of standards is in place one person should not be made example and their post shoudl not be selectively removed.
I do not wish to discuss during this post the merrits of censorship as that is a never ending discussion or the fact that a linkage between if a use of word "sh#t is acceptable what else is" is totally baseless.
However I would like to canvass and opinion from people on this board as to what do they think about selective removal of a post when a swear filter has been avoided. In my opinion if one rule is to hold for an individual it shoudl hold for all of the community. Therfore in the future to be fair if you do remove one post all other posts breaching the same rule should be removed too.
