What do you guys think of Chad Morrison? I know he has had some heavy criticism on other Collingwood forums over the internet, but, do you think he really deserves to be labelled "slow" Or to be called a "dud"?

He is an average footballer in my opinion. At his best he goes ok, but he hasn't got much going for him anymore.

Was an excellent footballer at WCE (1996-2000) prior to knee injuries. Now he lacks the pace and mobillity to really hurt the opposition. A real ball winner, which helps him off halfback. He was more than handy at the start of the season, don't forget, but after his back injury he faded dramatically.

He is not in our top XXII, and probably not even the emergency group. He has plenty of work to do. I'd have personally have preferred Woewodin, but Mumbles still has another year of his contract to serve yet. Needs a big season. As for his pace, multiple knee injuries reduces anyones speed.

He was a very valuable player for West Coast prior to his knee reconstructions like Johnson says. I thought he was handy through out the year for us last year, although I can't see him being too consistent over the next few years as his career winds down. He still has a dip and that’s all we can ask.

He is slow but he can find alot of the footy and should improve for you guys next season. He isnt great at shutdown roles, give him an attacking role of half back and he will be handy. Unfortunatley, I think you guys have Lockyer locked in for that role.

Which is the role Malthouse appears intent on handing out to him.

I agree, it is an interesting point. Johnson, Lockyer, R.Shaw and Lonie are all ahead of him at this stage.

he didnt so much last year... im not 2 sure if he can improve his had knee recos and is going to be 28 this year. i agree with u johnson#26 i wood have preferred woewodin but i obvisiously the club see sumthing in morrison

Wouldnt bet on that. Only Johnson's ahead of him. Shaw's coming back from a major injury, and Lonie and Lockyer start the seasons at the crossroads in their careers.

Has apparently lost quite a bit of weight since last season according to some track watchers. Obviously realises career is on the line. Problem may be that improved fitness, may not cure the pace and agility problems caused by 2 knee recos. Certainly would be in the mix for the best 22, but no certainty.

I thought that Morrison was known for having some pace, but of course two knee recos would effect that. I think that he will be better next season and can be a regular in the back-pocket.

Definitely not! In his younger WCE days, yes, but it has hurt him now.

Disagree. Shaw, at his best, would be ahead of him - ditto Lonie and Tarks. Both have roles to play in the side when up and going.

He's the right shape and size to fit into fit into the mascots outfit.

Has anybody ever seen Tarks and Jock McPie in the same room at the same time?

Was a good footballer at the Eagles, has been very ordinary at the Maggies. His skills are shocking, they make Paul 'NATO' Licuria's disposal by foot look good!

The guy was good - key word was- but with the amount of Knee problems he had later on in his career at WCE, its a credit to him that he is still playing. Will be on the list untill collingwood's youth develop.

To be fair he's only been at the club one season and his first third of season 2005 was not bad at all. Finished off the year badly but he's not alone. If we sacked everybody who finished off 2005 badly we'd have nobody left on the list.

He also came of an excellent second half in season 2004 at the Eagles, so his knee troubles seem to be behind him.

runs like a penguin and is nothing but dead wood.
once some younger guys mature he should be the first gone but he reminds me too much of willo so i wont be surprised to see malthouse give him wayy too many chances
